He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Kenneth John scodeller was born on december 28, 1937, in ann arbor, michigan, a son of mario P. and antoinette (Grossi) scodeller who immigrated from italy. Ken was an outstand- ing athlete, earning a scholarship to play baseball at Western michigan and later played in the farm system of the Washing- ton senators from 1961 until 1963. Ken earned his degree from eastern michigan but was a loyal michigan Wol- verine fan all his life as well as all the professional teams in detroit: the tigers, Lions, Pistons, and Red Wings.

Ken was united in marriage to shirley a. Forbes on sep- tember 4, 1965, at st. Catholic Church, Carsonville, michigan. they have shared over 56 years of marriage and memories. Following his pursuit of a profession baseball career, Ken leaned on his degree in education, going to work in Bellville and Carsonville, michigan where he taught history and served as the head football, basketball, and baseball coach.

He also directed the title i Programs as well as the summer Recre- ation Program. in 1972 he moved to davenport to serve as as- sociate Principal at Central High school and later served at smart, Wood, and J.B. young Junior High. Ken retired in 2003 following a wonderful career in education. He was tough, but fair and well respected and loved.

many times over the years, former students would acknowledge him for the wonderful support and advice he provided to them. Following his retire- ment, he served as interim dean of students at assumption High school for a year. in michigan he had been a member and past president of the Lions Club, member of of the P.t.a., and little league coach. Ken was also a member of the N.a.s.s.P, davenport Princi- pals association, school administrators of iowa, and early on helped with the Bix 7 road race. When he devoting his time to volunteer work Kenny enjoyed fishing, golfing, and supporting his kids and athletic endeavors.

He was a proud father, grandpa, and papa! survivors include his loving wife, shirley, his daughter and son-in-law: angie (Wade) King, davenport, daughter-in-law amy scodeller, davenport; and son and daughter-in-law Bry- on (susan) scodeller, moline; grandchildren: Kennedy (Jake) Hirst, mallory (Connor Lindaman) King, Carly King, saman- tha scodeller, Lily scodeller, erika, Crystal and ashley; and a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and mary scodeller, Lan- sing, michigan. He was preceded in death by his children: dominic scodeller, Kimberly Normoyle and an infant child, as well as his parents and a brother, Ronald. may they rest in peace. On decem- ber 12, 1984, he was united in marriage to marilyn thoma- son. He began his accounting firm in 1964 that has evolved into a very successful family operated dental practice broker- age firm; one of the largest in midwest.

Henry lived a very full life and would often share stories about his adventures. topics included childhood events, au- gustana fraternity pranks, baseball, hunting and fish- ing name it, there was usually a story that could be told. many laughs have been shared with a smile from ear to ear. some very fond memories stemmed from 3 decades of coaching Little League baseball. in 1989, east Lit- tle League all-star team earned a 4th place finish in the Lit- tle League World series.

teaching the fundamentals of the game was his goal for each of his team members; many of which went on to play at the High school and College levels. although volunteering much of his free time, Henry would rarely miss any of his events. Henry is survived by his wife marilyn and six children, Kel- li Hemmen, shelli Hemmen Corbin, tom (Kari) Hemmen, John Hemmen, ty (sara) Johnson, and Nate Johnson; 11 grandchil- dren, 8 great-grandchildren, and his sister Patricia (Ray) Ham- ilton. Henry was surrounded by the love of family members when he passed, including his dog and best friend, Gus. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ron.

He was as generous with his talking as he was with the toppings, all energized by his love of coffee. mike never knew a stranger. eager to listen as much as converse, he engaged everyone he met with his hearty laugh and infectious smile. mike burned his candle brightly at both ends out of love for his family and his many friends.

He graduated from Rock island High school, Class of 1949. He attended the university of illinois, where he was a member of Zeta Beta tau fraternity, and received his B.a.

degree in 1953. He was a u.s. army veteran. stanley married Beatrice Gamburg on June 10, 1956, in davenport. she preceded him in death in 2014.

stanley was the CeO of stanley Foods Corporation, based in milan, illinois, for over 25 years. the company was started by father, Joseph Weinstein, who emigrated from Russia in the early 20th century. Joseph started with a small fruit cart, and developed the business into a thriving whole- sale warehouse. stanley took over the business after a brief stint in the army in his early twenties. He grew it into one of the largest wholesale distributors of produce and frozen foods in the midwest.

the business allowed stanley the opportunity to create iconic brands such as Little ellie Potatoes, a small russet named for his eldest daughter, ellie. in his early fifties, stanley left the food business and em- barked on a new career as a management consultant and ex- ecutive recruiter. Within a few short years, he was hired by several Fortune 500 clients in multiple countries through- out the world. s.e. Weinstein Company was likely one of the most successful solo-operated recruiting firms in the world.

it also spawned a successful outplacement consulting firm, the Beatrice Weinstein Group, operated by wife, Bebe. He was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth israel and the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities. a lover of music, he fancied himself a crooner, and played professional saxophone in his younger years. surviving are his children, ellie maule, (Kevin) of moline, dr Leo Weinstein (Kyle) of Highland Park, illinois, and dr. Karen Weinstein (Laurent Ohayon), of New york City, grandchildren, steven maule, moline, asher Weinstein, Highland Park, aaron Weinstein, Los angeles, California, and astrid Weinstein, iowa City, iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
