SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer Review: Is it Worth $150?! (2024)

Finding the perfect skincare regimen can be challenging! The SkinBetter Science Trio Moisture Rebalancing Treatment was recommended by my dermatologist and esthetician, but the price tag was steep at $150. I decided to try it to see if it was truly a game-changer or the holy grail of moisturizers.

Below is my research of the key ingredients, their benefits, how I applied the moisturizer, and my overall SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer review. SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer Review: Is it Worth $150?! (1)

Also, I am not affiliated with SkinBetter Science in any way, and I get nothing if you purchase their products.

Why is it $150?

You may be wondering if SkinBetter Science Trio Moisture Rebalancing Treatment is over-priced at $150 for a 1.7 fl oz bottle. I know I did, but all skincare brands are not created equal. Skinbetter’s Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment is dermatologist-tested and considered medical-grade skincare. It is also paraben-free, fragrance-free, dye-free and cruelty-free — making it a good choice for skincare enthusiasts.

What’s inSkinbetter Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment?

The ingredients in Skinbetter’s Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment are designed to moisturize and balance your skin without clogging your pores.

When I’m researching any skincare product I like to run the ingredients through Incide Coder. They are great for seeing what ingredients are commonly known to clog pores or irritate the skin.

What does it do?

SkinBetter’s Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment offers a triple triple-action formula and a potent blend of ceramides, squalene, cholesterol, and urea. This combination helps repair a damaged skin barrier and bring moisture back to the skin. Essentially, the it is keeping the water in the skin, balancing the skin’s oils, and helping to support the skin’s barrier to prevent allergens from getting in.

It’s great for sensitive, dry skin, or aged skin.

My SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer Review

After using the SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer for 4-weeks, I noticed I didn’t have any flakiness like I had been experiencing before using it.

I also feel like my skin is more glowy, and it’s even helped reduce some fine lines. I love that it doesn’t have much of a smell, and it’s not greasy.

Who Will Love SkinBetter Trio?

SkinBetter’s Trio Moisturizer is great for those seeking:

  • Healthier-looking skin
  • Reduction in the appearance of fine lines
  • Balanced hydration
  • Improvement in their skin’s natural barrier
  • Smoother skin texture

How to Apply and Use SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer

I used SkinBetter Science Trio Moisture Rebalancing Treatment in my daily skincare routine. This product effortlessly fits into both morning and evening regimens, but I chose to use it mostly as part of morning routine to make it last a little longer.

My Morning Skincare Routine

  • I wash my face with Jan Marini’s glycolic face cleanser
  • While my face is still damp, I apply a thin layer of SkinBetter’s Alto Advanced Defense and Repair Serum to my face, neck, and décolleté..
  • I then apply SkinBetter Science Trio Moisture Rebalancing Treatment to the same areas.
  • After that has sank in, I apply sunscreen all over. I’m currently using Elta’s tinted sunscreen.

My Evening Skincare Routine

Once a week, I’ll just wash my face with the glycolic face cleanser and apply SkinCeuticals’ Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight treatment.

I love the Alto Advanced Defense for helping with redness, and my skin tone and texture overall. It’s suppose to help with free radical damage and intrinsic stressors, too.

I like the AlphaRet Overnight Cream for improving dark spots, sun damage, wrinkles, and overall skin texture and tone.

It is expensive, but it’s helped me limit the need for medical-grade procedures.

Why I’ll Buy SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer Again

I feel like the $150 investment in SkinBetter Trio delivered on the promised benefits. It’s helped with:

  • providing a radiant glow to my skin
  • hydrating and balancing out my skin barrier
  • reducing fine lines
  • offering hydration without clogging my pores
  • protects against free radicals
  • improved the overall texture of my skin (more smooth)

At $150, the SkinBetter Science Trio Moisture Rebalancing Treatment™ is an investment in the health and radiance of your skin. For me, it was worth the price to a moisturizer with high quality, scientifically researched ingredients.

It’s definitely a luxury item but compared to other medical-grade skincare products, this line is my favorite at the moment.
