Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns – Sunday 1:00pm
Pittsburgh Steelers
Kenny Pickett – – The production is still not where it needs to be and he faces a strong defense, so probably not the ideal starting option.
Jaylen Warren – – Continues to see more touches and coming off a nice game. Has been named the starter and guessing he will see a bit more than 50% of the touches (But who really knows). Even with an iffy match-up, he has enough upside to start.
Najee Harris – – Warren has taken over as option A and while the Steelers have ridden the running game more of late and he is coming off a big game. Do face a good run defense and who knows how he will be used, so may be best to play it safe with another option.
Diontae Johnson – – Coming off a down game, but he has been solid when healthy, but does face a strong pass defense, so while he could help your cause and is teetering between 2 and 3 footballs, it may be best to explore options with a better match-up. Keep an eye on that thumb if you are considering him.
George Pickens – – Has cooled off of late and faces an elite pass defense, so while he could make a play or two, it may be a good week to explore your other options.
Allen Robinson – – His targets are still lacking and he faces a good defense, so move along.
Calvin Austin III – – Still not seeing many touches, so continue to move along.
Pat Freiermuth – – Even if he can return, he will be tough to count on.
Connor Heyward – – Has seen more use of late, but he is still a guy that is not being targeted quite enough to trust, especially with a tough match-up.
Chris Boswell – – The offense has moved the ball of late, but do face a strong defense, though that could mean they have to settle for field goals, like the earlier meeting, so he could pay off.
Pittsburgh Steelers – – The defense has been solid of late and they face an offense that has dealt with some turnover issues, so they are capable of still helping your cause. The change of QB could also help their cause.
Cleveland Browns
Dorian Thompson-Robinson – – The rookie gets the start, but even against a so-so pass defense, he will be a risky option, so best to look at other options.
P.J. Walker – – DTR will get the start, so forget about him.
Deshaun Watson – – And the hits just keep on coming as his season is over as he needs shoulder surgery.
Jerome Ford – – Coming off a nice game and faces a defense that can be run on, so should be worth rolling with once again. Expect more running with Watson done.
Kareem Hunt – – Found the end zone again and has been visiting there a good bit and has a solid match-up, so should be worth riding if needed.
Pierre Strong Jr. – – The third option likely won’t be utilized enough to trust.
Amari Cooper – – Coming off a solid game and has his moments and has a solid match-up, so he should be worth running out there once again. The QB change likely won’t help, so that will add risk.
Elijah Moore – – His production is still too inconsistent to trust him, but he does have a solid match-up, so he certainly could surprise.
Marquise Goodwin – – Even if back from that concussion, he likely won’t be utilized enough to count on.
Cedric Tillman – – Even with Goodwin banged up. the rookie was not utilized enough, so continue to forget about him.
David Bell – – Also banged up and even if he can go, likely won’t be used much, so continue to forget about him.
David Njoku – – Coming off a solid game and while he can be a bit up and down, he does have a solid match-up and at a thin position he is worth a look. The change of QB may not help his cause, so that does add some risk.
Dustin Hopkins – – Coming off another big game, but with the rookie QB under center, they could struggle to move the ball. But he could be the main scoring threat as they could struggle to find the end zone.
Cleveland Browns – – The defense continues to roll and faces a hit or miss offense, so they should be worth riding per usual.
Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers 20 – Cleveland Browns 16
