Updated Week 10 fantasy football projections, rankings from Draft Sharks | Sporting News (2024)

It's another four-team bye week, and while the Bengals, Ravens, Jets, and Patriots aren't exactly the most fantasy-friendly teams, we're still down a couple of starting QBs, several stud RBs, and plenty of key contributors at WR and TE. Having a reliable set of weekly fantasy projections and rankings remains crucial in a week like this. After all, the more expert opinions, analysis, and stats you can take in, the more it will sharpen your Week 10 start ‘em, sit ‘em decisions.

To show we believe in the “more is better” approach to fantasy football research, we’re happy to offer SN Fantasy readers an exclusive look at Draft Sharks’ award-winning weekly rankings and projections. We'll also highlight players at each position who stand out in our rankings compared to theirs so you get multiple perspectives on a few of the biggest start-or-sit headaches. Week 10 Fantasy Football Projections, Rankings from Draft Sharks

Week 10 fantasy QB projections, rankings

Spotlight Player:Daniel Jones, Giants vs. Texans (SN Ranking: 21 | DS Ranking: 11)

Jones has a fairly steady floor because of his rushing ability, but his ceiling remains low. He hasn't cracked 217 passing yards in a game this year, and he's still yet to produce more than two TDs in a contest. We might be too low with our ranking, but there are a lot of mid-tier QBs with great matchups this week (Jacoby Brissett, P.J. Walker, Andy Dalton, Sam Ehlinger), which pushes Jones down. Houston has limited QBs (fifth-fewest fantasy points per game) but gotten killed by RBs, so we're expecting a big Saquon Barkley game and a quiet Jones outing.

Week 10 fantasy RB projections, rankings

Spotlight Player: Darrell Henderson Jr., Rams vs. Cardinals (SN PPR Ranking: 38 | DS Ranking: 32)

The Rams' backfield is a mess, and while Henderson was the leader in Week 9, there's no guarantee that continues in Week 10 with Kyren Williams (ankle) expected back. Cam Akers is also still involved, and we've seen Henderson mysteriously disappear in the past (Ronnie Rivers, anyone?). We still rank him as a borderline flex while Draft Sharks like him a bit more, but make no mistake, there's risk here, especially in a tough matchup.

Spotlight Player: Najee Harris, Steelers vs. Saints (SN PPR Ranking: 28 | DS Ranking: 24)

UPDATE:Draft Sharks dropped Harris from No. 17 to 24 throughout the week.

The Saints run defense took a bit of a hit on Monday night, but keep in mind that 82 of those rushing yards were by QB Lamar Jackson. Kenyan Drake managed two short scores, but he averaged just 3.9 yards per carry. This is still a strong unit, and Harris has done little to make us think he can recapture last year's magic. With reports surfacing during Pittsburgh's bye week that Jaylen Warren will be more involved, we see Harris as more of a flex back with upside. Draft Sharks sees him as a solid RB2, perhaps because he finally started seeing more targets in Weeks 7 and 8 (nine catches). He certainly has the potential to pay off a No. 17 ranking, but we're still bearish on him.

SN's WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Week 10 fantasy WR projections, rankings

Spotlight Player: Robert Woods, Titans vs. Broncos (SN PPR Ranking: 53 | DS Ranking: 45)

UPDATE:Draft Sharks dropped Woods from No. 25 to No. 45 throughout the week, perhaps in response to positive reports about Treylon Burks' return.

Woods has hit new lows the past two weeks with Malik Willis has been under center, catching just two-of-four targets for 26 yards. His outlook changes quite a bit if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is back as expected this week, but facing Denver's top-ranked pass defense isn't going to help. Woods has only topped 39 yards in a game once this year, so we're not expecting much either way. Draft Sharks must be trusting the target share and expect Woods to pile up some short catches and have a good shot a TD. We can't get there, but every "No. 1 receiver" has potential.

Week 10 fantasy TE projections, rankings

Spotlight Player:Dalton Schultz, Cowboys @ Packers (SN PPR Ranking: 19 | DS Ranking: 9)

Schultz has posted 11 catches (12 targets) and 123 yards in his past two games, and in his three contests with Dak Prescott, he has 18 catches for 185 yards. He should be healthier after Dallas' bye, so what's not to like? We're still a little leery of the matchup (Green Bay allows the third-fewest FPPG to TEs) and the way Schultz can fade in and out of the offense. That latter point might not be a worry with Prescott back, but we still like the matchups and ceilings of some other TEs just a little more. Ultimately, though, there isn't a huge difference in Draft Sharks' ranking and our ranking, as the second-tier tight ends are often TD-or-bust plays anyway.

Week 10 fantasy defense projections, rankings

Spotlight Player: Las Vegas Raiders vs. Colts(SN Ranking: 13 | DS Ranking: 6)

Vegas has managed two D/ST touchdowns this year, but other than that, it's done next to nothing, posting just nine sacks and five takeaways while allowing at least 20 offensive points in every game. The Colts are floundering right now and allow the second-most FPPG to D/STs, so the matchup is there, but we can't get the Raiders above "fringe-starter" status. Draft Sharks is more confident in the matchup numbers, which is never a bad thing with defenses.
